The West Bengal Cabinet has approved the construction of a 100 MW solar power plant in Goaltore, located in Garbeta Block No. 2 of Paschim Medinipur districtThe total project costs 680 crores, of which ₹205 crore will be funded by the state government, while the remaining ₹475 crore will come from a German company partnering in the initiative. The project aims to enhance clean energy capacity in the state and is expected to contribute to employment generation in the region during both construction and operational phases.
