India-based Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd (WRTL), a solar EPC and O&M provider, has recently secured a Letter of Award for a ground-mounted PV project. The asset will have a capacity of 170 MW AC/255 MW DC and is valued at INR 232.30 crore (~USD 27.9 million). The scope includes EPC, and long-term Operation and Maintenance and will be executed on a turnkey basis. According to WRTL, the solar installation is expected to reduce approximately 225,000 metric tons of carbon emissions annually. It will also contribute to India’s energy security. WRTL said that the initiative aligns with the Indian government’s goal of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
