Invenergy, headquartered in Chicago, has recently announced four new Virtual Power Purchase Agreements (VPPAs) with Verizon, totalling 640 MW. This brings Verizon’s total procured energy from Invenergy to over 1 GW. The portfolio includes Richfield Solar (50 MW, MD), Maple Flats (250 MW, IL), Cadence Solar (240 MW, OH), and Chalk Bluff (100 MW, AR), all slated to be operational between 2024 and 2027. These agreements contribute to local grids through two energy markets across Arkansas, Illinois, Maryland, and Ohio.
