France-headquartered VALOREM Group and Banque des Territoires transferred a second portfolio of solar and wind projects to the Calypso platform. The platform was established in 2023. It is 51% owned by VALOREM and 49% by Banque des Territoires. It aimed to develop 500 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2027. The transferred portfolio included 12 photovoltaic plants and 8 onshore wind farms. This increased Calypso’s total capacity to 308 MW. The transfer followed the refinancing of senior debt for the portfolio in October 2024. The refinancing amounted to nearly €200 million. The transaction helped achieve national carbon neutrality targets. It made the partnership between the two entities stronger. VALOREM used its technical expertise for the project. Banque des Territoires provided funds to support renewable energy. Both confirmed their goal of making renewable energy available to more people. The transaction showed trust in their teamwork. It strengthened their role in France’s shift to clean energy.
