UGE International Ltd, based in New York and specializing in community solar projects, has completed a 1.4 MW rooftop system at Wildflower Studios in Queens. Wildflower Studios was developed by Wildflower LTD with Robert De Niro as New York City's first full-scale media production facility. UGE said that the rooftop system helps offset Wildflower Studios’ electricity use and provides additional power to LMI communities. As per UGE, the project secured the Clean Electricity Low-Income Communities Bonus Tax Credit under the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act. The system is expected to offset over 1,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually. UGE confirmed that the rooftop installation complies with New York City's Local Law 94 and supports emission reduction targets under Local Law 97.
