Headquartered in China, Trinasolar has implemented solar PV, energy storage, and hybrid microgrid systems in island regions during 2024 to address power reliability and high fuel costs. The company first connected the 27 MW Dagohoy solar plant to the grid in Bohol, Philippines, generating 41,000 MWh annually for 18,000 households. In the UAE, Trinasolar supplied corrosion-resistant solar mounting systems for installations on Sabaniah Island’s uneven, salt-affected terrain. Later, in the Maldives, it delivered a hybrid solar-storage-diesel microgrid across 27 islands, reducing diesel use by 1.3 million liters per year. These systems supported essential services including tourism, healthcare, and education, while enhancing local energy stability.
