France-based TotalEnergies has inaugurated its largest solar power cluster in Europe, comprising five projects with a combined capacity of 263 MW near Sevilla, Spain. The installation includes 4 lakh bifacial panels with trackers and is expected to produce 515 GWh of clean energy annually—enough to power over 1.5 lakh households and offset 2.45 lakh tons of CO₂ emissions each year. The majority of the electricity will be sold through long-term power purchase agreements, with the rest entering the wholesale market. Declared of strategic interest by the Junta de Andalucía, the project involved 14 participating companies, more than half based in Sevilla, and created approximately 800 direct and indirect jobs.
