Singapore-based TotalEnergies ENEOS completed its first ground-mounted solar PV project in Singapore with Tanah Merah Country Club (TMCC). The 2.2 MW system has over 3,700 solar panels and produces 3,000 MWh of electricity each year which is enough to power 700 four-room HDB flats. This resulted in cost savings and a reduction of approximately 1,300 tons of CO2 emissions per year, equal to planting 20,000 trees. Under a long-term power purchase agreement, TotalEnergies ENEOS fully funded, installed, and operates the system, with TMCC paying only for the electricity produced over 11 years. The project, completed in five months and two months ahead of schedule, recorded 28,600 man-hours without any lost-time injuries. This made TMCC the first country club in Singapore to be primarily powered by an onsite ground-mounted solar system.
