Terra Metals Inc., a US-based diversified metals and energy investment company, has announced a strategic equity investment partnership with the Investment Bank of Africa and the Nalolo Solar Power Energy Company (NASPEC) to advance the Nalolo Solar Project in Zambia. According to Terra Metals Inc., the collaboration also covers the Lukulu Solar Project and is aimed at strengthening Zambia’s renewable energy transition while supporting broader economic development. Terra Metals has vested interests in NASPEC through its principal shareholders, underscoring its long-term participation in Zambia’s clean energy sector. As per the Investment Bank of Africa, the decision to invest was driven by rising electricity demand, favorable government support, and strong financial fundamentals. NASPEC has stated that the partnership is expected to create employment, expand industrial activity, improve energy security, and enhance socio-economic resilience for Zambia.
