Mumbai headquartered, Tata Power has installed 107 MW of solar capacity across more than 230 public institutions in Maharashtra. The installations include 100 hospitals with 3.6 MW, 64 schools with 2 MW, and 72 government and institutional buildings with 100 MW, distributed across multiple districts. According to Tata power, the solar systems have offset around 1.3 lakh tonnes of CO₂ emissions, an amount estimated to equal the absorption capacity of 20 lakh trees. This initiative involves rooftop and ground-mounted systems, enhancing public infrastructure by integrating solar power into healthcare, education, and administrative facilities.
