Sunsure Energy, backed by Partners Group, signed its first utility-scale solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to supply 300 MW of renewable energy. The ₹1,800 crore project planned a solar park in Bikaner, Rajasthan, with completion expected by December 2024. The agreement included a peak capacity of 450 MW with Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connectivity and was awarded under SECI’s Tranche XIII auction. Sunsure, which previously focused on commercial and industrial customers, expanded into the utility segment to scale operations and diversify its portfolio with creditworthy and sovereign-rated off-takers like SECI. The company had 500 MW of operational assets and targeted five gigawatts in three years through solar and wind energy. Partners Group committed $400 million in equity to support Sunsure's growth in industrial decarbonization across India and Southeast Asia.
