Sunsure Energy, a New Delhi-based renewable energy solutions provider for businesses and utilities, has commissioned an 82.5 MW open access solar plant in Erach, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, marking its 10th project in the state. According to Sunsure Energy, the Jhansi plant is expected to generate 12.8 crore units annually and supply power to industries including Haldiram’s and APL Apollo. With this addition, Sunsure Energy’s operational capacity in Uttar Pradesh has reached nearly 300 MW and is projected to touch 500 MW by FY26. Shashank Sharma, Founder and CEO of Sunsure Energy, said the company began in Uttar Pradesh with a 15 MW project in 2021 and has expanded twenty-fold in four years. Sunsure Energy is also developing a 125 MW/500 MWh battery storage project after securing a recent NTPC bid.
