SUNation Energy, a New York-based solar installer, has signed two Letters of Intent (LOIs) with Energy Systems Group (ESG) for over 2.35 MW of rooftop solar across two Long Island school districts. According to SUNation, the first project involves seven buildings totaling 1.3 MW, expected to generate 1,687,723 kWh annually and offset 75.85% of energy use. The second project, as per ESG, includes three buildings with 1.057 MW capacity, projected to produce 1,371,712 kWh yearly and offset 87.3% of demand. SUNation has stated that the combined output will approach 3 MWh annually. Both companies said the projects are under LOI and remain subject to further negotiation and execution of definitive agreements.
