TotalEnergies has signed a 15-year physical PPA to supply clean electricity to STMicroelectronics sites in France starting January 2025. It covers 1.5 TWh of power from two recent wind and solar farms. These farms have a combined capacity of 75 MW and are operated by TotalEnergies. The deal includes structure services to convert intermittent energy into a stable baseload supply. This is the first long-term contract of its kind in France. The agreement supports STMicroelectronics' goal of sourcing 100% clean energy by 2027 and will also contribute toachieve carbon neutrality in operations. TotalEnergies has previously signed similar PPAs with companies including Saint-Gobain, Air Liquide, Amazon, Merck, and Microsoft.
