India-based Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy has been named the lowest bidder (L1) for a 245 MW (AC) solar engineering, procurement, and construction project in Gujarat from a PSU developer. The turnkey EPC package covers the development of a grid-connected solar PV plant in the state. Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy, which operates globally in utility-scale solar, floating solar, hybrid, and energy storage EPC projects, posted a consolidated net profit of INR 31.97 crore (~ $3.52 million) in Q1 FY26, marking a 663 % increase from Q1 FY25.  The company’s recent order book growth reflects increasing EPC activity in India’s renewable sector. Despite securing the Gujarat contract, its share price declined 1.37 % to close at INR 273.50 (~ $3.01) on the BSE. This project adds significant capacity to Gujarat’s ongoing solar infrastructure expansion. Net sales during the quarter rose 92.5 % to INR 1,761.63 crore (~ $193.78 million) compared to the same period last year.
