Gujarat headquartered, PV manufacturer, Solex Energy has started expanding its solar module manufacturing capacity, planning to grow from 1.5 GW to 15 GW in phases, with an estimated cost of ₹8,000 crore. The expansion began with a 2.2 GW line, involving ₹200 crore in investment, and aims to reach 3.7 GW by September 2025. The first phase will include a TOPCon (glass-to-glass) module line, using automated processes with AI and AOI-based quality control systems. The line is designed to produce one module every 16 seconds. The company is also considering setting up a solar cell facility with an initial 2 GW capacity, scalable to 5 GW. Solex Energy reported ₹665 crore in revenue for FY25, marking an increase from ₹368 crore in the previous fiscal. Around 22% of its revenue came from EPC services, with the remainder from its module business.
