EVM partners with Solarvest, PECC2 for green energy

In Vietnam, EVM, Solarvest, and PECC2 have collaborated under the DPPA Mechanism to adopt large-scale renewable energy and support net-zero goals.

Saigon Jim Brother’s Corporation (EVM), Solarvest (Vietnam) Company Limited, and Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2) have signed an MoU to promote renewable energy adoption in Vietnam. The partnership utilizes the Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA) Mechanism via the National Grid to supply green electricity to EVM’s operations. Regulated under Decree 80/2024/ND-CP, effective July 3, 2024, the DPPA allows large electricity consumers like EVM to directly access utility-scale solar farms. Solarvest, with headquarters in Malaysia and over 1.3 GW of renewable energy projects across Asia-Pacific, has provided expertise in clean energy and financial models. PECC2, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, has contributed technical expertise for green electricity supply.
