Virginia-based SolaREIT, a financing provider for solar and battery storage developers, completed a land purchase for Headwater Energy's 112 MW Gum Swamp Solar project in North Carolina. The project will generate 191,000 MWh annually, powering 17,000 households. Headwater Energy, a utility-scale solar developer, collaborated with SolaREIT to streamline the transaction. The project highlights the importance of strategic land acquisitions in advancing solar development, allowing developers to allocate resources to other project needs. SolaREIT offers financial solutions like land purchases, lease purchases, and loans to support solar and storage projects across the US.
