SolarBank Corporation, a Canada-based solar project developer, has received $1,058,616 in NYSERDA incentives under the NY-Sun Program for its 3.26 MW Camillus Solar Project. According to SolarBank, the project was sold to Solar Advocate Development LLC for $7.3 million, but it remains responsible for construction. The ground-mounted system is planned for a closed landfill site in Camillus, New York, and will operate as a community solar installation. As per NYSERDA, the incentive is contingent on compliance with the NY-Sun Program Manual and requires completion within 30 months of approval. SolarBank stated that the incentive does not affect the project’s transaction value. As per SolarBank, the approval reflects the company’s track record in securing government incentives for solar developments across the US and Canada.
