Solar Simplified, a US-based community solar platform, has partnered with UGE, a New York-based solar developer, on a 1.3MW rooftop project in Medford, Long Island. The system is installed on the 130,000-square-foot Medford Logistics Center and is expected to serve around 200 households annually. UGE has reached the Notice to Proceed milestone, and the project is scheduled to begin commercial operations in fall 2025. Solar Simplified is responsible for subscriber acquisition and billing, which, according to the company, helps reduce offtake risk and improve revenue management. The project has incorporated US-manufactured Heliene modules and includes T-Mobile as the anchor subscriber. UGE has stated that the system is expected to offset 1,500 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually. The collaboration has been structured to simplify enrollment, ensure consistent billing, and support distributed solar growth in Long Island’s residential energy market.
