Solar Landscape, a US-based company focused on commercial rooftop solar, has energized 14 community solar projects totaling 6.6 MW across Maryland. These installations are the first phase of 57 planned rooftop projects that will provide 55 MW to serve 5,870 households. The company said the energized systems are located on commercial rooftops in cities including Baltimore, Bethesda, and Gaithersburg. Interconnection was completed by Baltimore Gas & Electric Company (BGE) and Pepco, enabling grid supply from the new installations. As per Solar Landscape, its pipeline represents nearly 50 percent of Maryland’s current community solar market share. In 2024, the company leased 40 million square feet of rooftop space nationwide to support 500 MW of new capacity.
