Norway headquartered, Scatec ASA has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with Tunisiaโ€™s state utility, STEG, for the 120 MW Sidi Bouzid II solar power plant. The project was awarded through a government tender in December 2024. It also signed a Joint Development Agreement with Aeolus SAS, part of the Toyota Tsusho Group, with both firms holding equal ownership. The project follows earlier collaborations on the 60 MW Sidi Bouzid I and 60 MW Tozeur plants. The estimated cost is EUR 87 million (~ $ USD 93.96), with Scatec managing about 85% of the engineering, procurement, and construction work. Financial discussions are ongoing, with final closure expected in the second half of 2025.
