Safeer, a joint venture between TotalEnergies and Zahid Group, has signed a PPA with poultry farm-based Golden Chicken, in April 2025. This agreement is to install a 5.18 MWp solar power plant at Golden Chicken’s site in Saudi Arabia. The installation comprises of 8,160 PV modules with a solar tracking system to improve energy production by following the sun’s path. The project is expected to generate over 13 GWh of clean energy annually and avoid approximately 6,710 tons of CO₂ emissions each year. The collaboration contributes to Saudi Arabia’s renewable energy targets by reducing reliance on conventional energy sources.
