SAEL Industries, a Gurugram-headquartered renewable energy company has commissioned its first solar power project of about 300 MW in Rajasthan. According to SAEL Industries, the project is located in Jalore district, spans more than 1,000 acres, and was developed through its subsidiary Sunfree Energy RJP1 Pvt Ltd. SAEL Industries stated that the plant includes 200 MW alternating current and 298 MW direct current capacity. SAEL Industries has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Ltd on February 20, 2024, at a tariff of INR 2.61 per kWh. The project was commissioned on August 17, ahead of its scheduled commercial operation date, ensuring early transmission and additional power supply for the state.
