There has been a recent incidence of a rooftop fire accident reported at the Saint Michael's Hospital in Bristol, where solar panels had been mounted on the roof frame. It was a mid-evening start to the fire, and it heavily damaged the roof with black thick smoke being seen all around the region. As per Avon Fire and Rescue, the fire had started from the rooftop solar panel system. The accident led to a partial evacuation of the maternity center, although there were no casualties or injuries. Ten stations sent out fire crews, and five engines stayed on the scene through the evening to ensure safety. Police also controlled cordons and diverted traffic, resulting in roads around the area being closed, such as St Michael's Hill. A thorough inquiry is being conducted currently because of the magnitude of the emergency response and the critical infrastructure.
