Renewable America, A leading provider of solar and storage solutions, completed its 2.93 MW (DC) West Tambo Clean Power II (WEST-II) solar project in Livingston, California. The 8.5-acre site will provide energy to San Jose, powering 800 homes annually and reducing 48,000 tons of CO2 over its lifetime. Located in a disadvantaged and low-income community, the project used local union labor and supported apprenticeship programs. It also received a 20% Investment Tax Credit for providing electricity to low-income households. Renewable America managed all stages of development, from site selection to construction, ensuring efficiency and quality. The project also introduced a collaboration with San Jose Clean Energy, increasing solar access for underrepresented communities.
