Qair’s 50.13 MW PV project in Montenegro got CGES approval

France-based Qair, an independent renewable energy company, has received grid connection approval from Crnogorski Elektroprenosni Sistem (CGES) for 50.13 MW Rudine solar project in Nikšić, Montenegro. This was the company’s first project in the country to reach this stage. The approval allowed the project to move toward Ready-to-Build status. The next phase involved designing the solar farm layout and securing permits. The plant would connect to Montenegro’s electricity grid and start operating by the end of 2028.Montenegro aimed to achieve 50% renewable energy consumption by 2030, with renewables accounting for 39.64% in 2021. Additionally, Qair had 1.7 GW of energy projects running or under construction and was planning 35 GW across 20 countries, with 730 employees.
