PureSky activates 1.8 MW community solar project in New York

PureSky Energy, a US-based community solar developer, has brought a 1.8 MW DC solar farm online in Clayton, New York. ASA Clayton NY Solar I is PureSky Energy’s 20th project in New York and 36th in the United States. The facility includes 4,550 solar panels and is expected to generate 2,664,792 kWh annually, supplying electricity to approximately 368 homes. According to PureSky Energy, the project is projected to offset 2,081.71 tons of carbon emissions and deliver nearly $995,819 in customer savings over 30 years. The project is operated under a subscription-based model that offers a 10% monthly electricity discount. PureSky Energy has stated that anchor subscribers such as Nordstrom have supported broader access to clean energy through long-term participation.
