Prime Solar Solutions, a Philippines-based solar project developer, has received Energy Regulatory Commission approval. This approval is to construct and operate a 115 kV interconnection for its 48.118 MWAC Maragondon Solar Power Plant in Cavite. Prime Solar Solutions said that the facility includes a 60 MVA substation and a 20 km single-circuit transmission line that was completed in February 2025 at a cost exceeding PHP 1.6 billion. Energy Regulatory Commission noted that Meralco, a Philippines-based distribution utility, is required tooperate and maintain the assets under defined charges. National Grid Corporation of the Philippines confirmed that the TMC 2 substation has adequate capacity to absorb the project’s generation without upgrades. Energy Regulatory Commission directed Prime Solar Solutions to meet compliance submissions and fee payments within specified timelines.
