Powergrid starts 85 MW solar plant operations at Madhya Pradesh

Commercial operations have begun for Powergrid’s 85 MW PV plant at Nagda, Madhya Pradesh, developed through its subsidiary Powergrid Energy Services Ltd. (PESL).

Powergrid, headquartered in Gurugram, India, and specializing in power transmission, has commenced commercial operations of its 85 MW solar PV plant at Nagda, Ujjain. According to Powergrid, the project has been developed through its wholly-owned subsidiary Powergrid Energy Services Ltd. (PESL) and was operational from April 24, 2025. Powergrid said that the solar plant is expected to contribute significantly to clean energy generation and support regional electricity needs. As per Powergrid, the project has been designed diversify its energy portfolio.
