China-headquartered POWERCHINA has signed the EPC contract for the Round 5 MAS and AHK2 Solar PV projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The MAS project has a capacity of 1,250 MW, while the AHK2 project is 500 MW. These projects include the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power plants and facilities. Once operational, they are expected to generate 4.4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, supplying energy to 550,000 households and reducing carbon emissions by 2.88 million metric tons. This aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 energy goals.
