Canada-based renewable energy developer PowerBank Corporation has announced that its 3.16 MW Honesdale ground-mount solar project in Pennsylvania has secured site control, allowing it to move forward to the interconnection study phase. The project is planned as a community solar facility expected to provide electricity credits to about 370 homes by feeding power directly into the local grid. The development is dependent on the final approval of House Bill 1842, which was passed by the Pennsylvania House on May 7, 2025, and is currently under Senate review. PowerBank has said that its experience with more than 100 MW of completed projects and a 1 GW development pipeline demonstrates its ability to successfully deliver the project.
