Potentia Energy, an Australia-based renewable energy developer, has recently secured transmission access for its Tallawang PV Hybrid project in Australian Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ). The facility includes a 500 MW solar farm, a 500 MW/1000 MWh BESS, and supporting infrastructure on a 1,300-hectare site near Gulgong. With access rights granted, Potentia Energy will begin project design, planning approvals, grid assessments, and procurement activities. The project is expected to connect to the state’s electricity grid through upcoming New South Wales CWO REZ transmission infrastructure. According to the company, construction will take three years and generate economic activity through job creation and local investment. Potentia Energy has emphasized community engagement and benefit-sharing during development, aiming to support regional development while meeting growing electricity demand through utility-scale solar and storage integration.
