India-headquartered NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has completed the 300 MW Shambu ki Burj-2 Solar PV Project. The last phase, with a capacity of 18.32 MW, began supplying electricity on March 1, 2025. With this, NTPC Group's total installation and commercial capacity reached 77.41150 GW. The fourth and final phase of 18.32 MW in Bikaner, Rajasthan, was declared commercially operational from midnight on March 1, 2025. The project was developed in phases. The first 150 MW became operational on September 29, 2022. The second 98.78 MW became operational on September 30, 2024. The third 32.90 MW became operational on October 31, 2024.
