NTPC Green Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC, commenced commercial operation of 25 MW solar capacity on September 3, 2025. The development was confirmed in a corporate filing and has been included in the NTPC group’s operational assets. With this addition, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group has reached 83,366 MW. NTPC operates under the Ministry of Power and is identified as India’s largest power generation entity. The 25 MW solar project forms part of the group’s total capacity, which has been growing through successive additions.
