India-based NTPC Green Energy has commissioned three phases of its 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project in Gujarat within two months. The first part, with 142.2 MW, began commercial supply on June 28, followed by the second part of 32.8 MW on June 30. The third part, comprising 49 MW, was declared commercially operational at Bhuj, Gujarat, from August 22, 2025, according to the company’s exchange filing. With these additions, the project has reached a total of 224 MW of operational capacity. NTPC Green Energy, a subsidiary handling NTPC’s renewable ventures, is executing the Khavda project in phases, progressing towards the full 300 MW capacity through sequential commissioning of solar power units.
