Chennai-based government-owned enterprise, NLC India Limited, has announced the commissioning of the first phase of its solar power development at Barsingsar in Bikaner district, Rajasthan. The overall project is designed for 300 MW capacity, of which 52.83 MW has now been successfully commissioned and declared commercially operational. As per the NLC’s filing, Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited issued the commissioning certificate on August 26, 2025, by confirming the operational status of the phase. The commissioning represents the initial step toward completing the full-scale 300 MW project in the region, with subsequent phases expected to follow in due courseFollowing the update, shares of NLC India were reported trading at INR 235.61(~ $2.83) on the Bombay Stock Exchange, reflecting market response to the commissioning news. NLC India noted in its exchange filing that the project is part of its broader energy portfolio, which includes conventional and renewable power generation.
