Nira Energy, a US-based software company, has partnered with Energize Capital, a climate-tech investor, to scale its transmission automation platform. The move comes amid rising interconnection demands across U.S. power markets. The partnership aims to equip ISOs, utilities, and developers with tools that streamline transmission planning and reduce delays caused by manual workflows. Nira’s platform, in use since 2021, has supported over 500 GW of interconnection studies and helped uncover $3 billion in cost discrepancies. Backed by over 100 major developers, the software is expanding to include long-range reliability studies, scenario modeling, and coordination tools. Energize Capital’s investment also brings new board representation to support Nira’s continued growth.
