US-based Nexamp and Microsoft have partnered on a 300 MW community solar portfolio with around 100 projects across the US over four years. Nexamp will develop and operate the projects, while Microsoft will purchase renewable energy certificates to meet carbon reduction goals. The projects will supply power for about 100,000 homes and focus on areas with limited solar access. Additional benefits include lower energy bills for low- and moderate-income households, workforce training, and local investments through the sustain our future foundation.
