Neosun Energy, a Hong Kong-based solar solutions provider, has commissioned a 1 MW solar power system for Unity Foods Ltd in Karachi, Pakistan. The system marks the first phase of a planned 2 MW project and includes 3,650 solar panels rated at 545 W and seven 250 kW inverters. More than 1,800 panels were installed during this initial phase, forming a ballasted ground-mounted array. Once the full 2 MW system is operational, it is expected to generate 2,920 MWh of electricity annually, helping reduce operational energy costs for Unity Foods' Sunridge Products. Neosun Energy aims to address Pakistan’s rising electricity costs and grid instability by expanding solar access for industries. The company is expanding in Pakistan with new branches in Karachi and Lahore and offers commercial solar systems from 200 kW to 10 MW capacity.
