META Solutions, an Ohio-based council of governments serving over 600 public entities, has awarded a Master Contract to Veregy, a US-based energy services firm that specializes in solar and energy efficiency projects. Veregy was selected through a competitive RFQ and RFP process as a Construction Manager at Risk, as stated by META Solutions, in compliance with Ohio procurement laws under ORC Sections 9.33 and 167.081. The agreement has enabled school districts, municipalities, and counties to access pre-qualified solar services without issuing separate solicitations. Veregy is also authorized to provide design-assist services under ORC Section 153.501. According to META Solutions, the cooperative purchasing model is designed to reduce administrative workload, streamline procurement, and accelerate project timelines. The arrangement is expected to facilitate scalable solar adoption and deliver standardized pricing for Ohioโs public sector infrastructure development.ย
