Swiss-based MET Group expanded its renewable energy presence in Romania by starting construction on an 80 MW solar project in Răscăeți, Dâmbovița County. Its portfolio in Romania included over 260 MW of solar capacity and 10 MW of battery storage. Three of its four projects reached ready-to-build status, covering 400 hectares across Arad, Dâmbovița, and Bihor counties. The company was focused on solar, wind, and battery storage investments across Europe, with Romania as a key market. MET’s Green Assets Division managed operational assets, developed new projects, and provided operation and maintenance services. Over four years, 70% of its capital spending went to renewables.
