Masdar, a renewable energy firm from the UAE, is reportedly in the advanced stages of a $1 billion financial commitment with Turkey’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources to develop a 1,100 MW solar energy generator in NigdeBor, according to Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar. He indicated that the talks were especially concentrated on solar and offshore wind and pumped-storage hydro power developments with the Masdar CEO Mohamed Jameel Al-Ramahi and team. According to Turkey's state-sponsored news agency Anadolu Agency, the project is part of a larger 27-billion USD framework signed in 2023 for enhanced cooperation for clean energy generation.
