The Government of Maharashtra has set a timeline to implement 5 GW of solar projects under its agri feeder scheme by September 2025. A high-level meeting was held to address land availability and related concerns, with participation from departments including energy, finance, and forest. District authorities were instructed to expedite land leasing, no-objection certificates, remeasurement, and removal of encroachments. Coordination was mandated between local agencies and developers for projects on both government and private land. The forest department was asked to issue timely approvals for tree-related permissions and power line crossings, including on adjoining private land. Law enforcement was directed to address theft cases at project sites. District-level task forces were formed to monitor implementation and ensure that all procedural and operational steps progress within defined timelines.
