Shanghai Semir Apparel Co., Ltd., a clothing manufacturer and retailer based in Minhang District, connected a 2.11 MW rooftop solar system to the grid in February 2025. The system covers two office building rooftops across an area equal to three football fields. It is the first in Shanghai to use LONGi’s Hi-MO X10 modules and among the earliest in China with this technology. The project operates under a “self-consumption with surplus to grid” model and has an 85% self-consumption rate. It is expected to generate around 2.5 million kWh annually for company facilities. From February 13 to 28, daily output averaged 5,190 kWh, exceeding projections by 8%. LONGi said its Hi-MO X10 modules use HPBC 2.0 cells with 670 W maximum output and 24.8% efficiency.
