The L&G NTR Clean Power (Europe) Fund has acquired project Monvallet which is a 211 MW Ready-to-Build solar and battery storage project in County Louth, Ireland. The portfolio was purchased from Strategic Power Projects Ltd and includes Monvallet Solar Ltd and Hazelboro Ltd, both with approvals for grid connection and planning. Solar construction is scheduled for 2025, with BESS following in 2026. Hazelboro solar secured a contract under the Irish Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS), while Monvallet solar is seeking a Corporate PPA partner. This acquisition brings the Fundโ€™s total capacity in Ireland to over 326 MW and marks its ninth transaction. It is the second solar portfolio acquired in Ireland and the third solar transaction overall. Legal and technical support was provided by DLA Piper and Natural Power.ย
