According to KPI Green Energy, Aditya Birla has awarded the company a 96 MW solar balance-of-system project in Mahua, Gujarat. KPI Green Energy has stated that the Letter of Award was issued to its wholly owned subsidiary, KPIG Energia Private Limited. The portfolio scope has included design, engineering, procurement, supply, transportation, erection, testing, synchronization, and commissioning in line with the scheduled commercial operation date. The balance-of-system work has involved installing equipment and systems to transfer direct current from PV panels, convert it into alternating current, and integrate it into the power grid. KPI Green Energy has indicated that this process is necessary to enable reliable electricity output from the facility. KPI Green Energy has not disclosed the project’s value or the expected completion timeline.
