India-based KNY Projects and Electrotech have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop and commission 200 MW of solar plants. The projects are to be located across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, with completion targeted within the next 18 to 24 months. Electrotech will provide solar modules, inverters, and other core equipment necessary for the installations. KNY Projects will serve as developer and independent power producer, handling project development, EPC execution, and long-term operations. The plants are estimated to generate over 360 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually for the regional grids. Identified sites in the three states have been designated to host the proposed solar capacity. Annual output from the projects will support India’s national renewable energy program, which aims to reach 500 GW by 2030.
