South Africa-based JUWI Renewable Energies plans three solar projects in South Africa in 2025. The projects total 340 MW and over ZAR 6 billion (~$321.51 million) in investment. They will generate 1 million MWh of clean energy annually. Nearly 1 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions will be offset yearly. Over 2,000 jobs will be created during construction. The projects include a 120 MW facility for Teraco in the Free State. Another 120 MW facility is planned for Sasol and Air Liquide. A 100 MW plant will supply Glencore’s ferrochrome smelters. These projects will add 5% to South Africa’s solar PV capacity. JUWI also operates nine renewable energy projects in Africa. These projects total 574 MW and generate 1 million MWh annually.
