Juniper Green Energy, an independent renewable power producer based in Gurugram, has signed a power purchase agreement with Tata Power Company, headquartered in Mumbai, for a 70 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy project in Maharashtra. The facility, to be implemented through Juniper Green’s subsidiary Juniper Green Sigma Eight Private Limited, has been planned to integrate approximately 180 MWp of combined solar and wind generation capacity with a 280 MWh battery energy storage system. This arrangement has been made to supply power and ensure grid stability during peak times. As per to Juniper Green Energy, the facility is likely to begin supplying power from September 22, 2027. The partners are likely to collaborate on technical and operational milestones in the future years.
